Mother’s Day is May 12th – How are you Celebrating?

One of the trends in both jewelry and hair clips this spring is the use of white paired with soft pastel colours. That is one of the many reasons why we love our white hair clips so much, they match almost every summer outfit.

With this in mind, we have teamed up with Beading Buds to create an exclusive jewelry and hair clip combo package perfect for celebrating Mother's Day. For many moms, this may be your first Mother's Day with your little princess, which makes it extra special. Why not celebrate it with matching mother/daughter accessories. Each package consists of a bracelet made with white glass pearls and a sterling silver plated heart clasp made exclusively for Baby Wisp. We have matched up this bracelet with one of our best selling products, a white mini latch clip butterfly grosgrain bow.

Chic and modern headbands Mini Latch Clip Grosgain Butterfly Bow As mothers, we know how precious it is to be able to hold our little ones close to us and see them in good health, happily drooling or trying to pull out the dog’s hair. We do recognize that there are many mothers who may not have the good fortune of having their little ones close to them in the warmth of their home. In the spirit of celebrating Mother's Day, we are donating 20% of the proceeds of this package to Sick Kids Hospital. This package is available for a limited time for $22.00. To enter for a chance to win this package, "Like" both our pages at www.facebook.com/babywisp and www.facebook.com/beadingbuds. Once you “Like” both pages, comment below on this blog and you will be entered in a draw to win. Contest closes April 24, 2013. Baby Headbands - How to Wear Them

Infants Look Great in Headbands - if Worn Right!

Headbands are a great accessory for your little girl, either to dress up a look or add a li'l, unique Baby Wisp touch into her wardrobe. As a classic head topper, wearing the headband in the correct way ensures your little drooler doesn't remove, become uncomfortable or even notice she's wearing one! Of course, it should be emphasized that toddlers (specially children under 3 years of age) should not be left unattended with headbands, or any hair accessory, and should always be under the supervision of a parent or adult while wearing one. Having that in mind, if coordinated and worn properly, headbands do serve as a modern accessory that adds the right amount of 'chic' and 'pop' to any little girl’s outfit.

      Chic and modern headbands

First things first - choosing the right headband accessory for your chic and upcoming fashionista is imperative. Style, comfort, and color are important; but alignment and placement of the headband can make or break your baby's look.

The Island Breeze and Blossom Band, for example, look the best when the flower is worn to the side of the head, right above the ear (the band itself will of course be behind the ear). If your munchkin was lucky enough to be born with a head full of hair, styling her hair around the sides of her face will not only frame her face, but also not over emphasize that she is wearing a distinct hair accessory.
